O1. Building and strengthening collaboration at both the individual and institutional levels between the project partners — researchers from INCDTIM (Romania) and USMF “Nicolae Testemițanu” (Republic of Moldova)
O2. Develop vesicular nanoplatforms by encapsulating Nimesulide and Chlorhexidine in bilosomes
O3. Optimization the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects of the vesicular nanoplatforms with natural Boswellia serrata extract for topical administration.
Cognitive and Socio-Economic Impact
- The research carried out in collaboration between researchers from INCDTIM in Romania and from the Faculty of Pharmacy, “Nicolae Testemițanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in the Republic of Moldova will lead to knowledge transfer regarding the development of combined topical formulations with dual therapeutic action among the members of the two teams involved in the project and will strengthen the collaboration between the two partner institutions.
- The topical product with dual therapeutic action — anti-inflammatory and antibacterial — proposed for development will have an important socio-economic impact by:
- improving the physical and mental condition of patients, thereby contributing to an increase in quality of life and work capacity by reducing pain and discomfort caused by local inflammatory processes;
- implicitly reducing the costs and side effects associated with orally administered anti-inflammatory/antibacterial drugs by replacing them or shortening the duration of treatment.
