In this work period we designed and built the "main control module" for the biodiesel generator system. We also made some good progress and we are now very close to complete the entire system. The generator is now in its final assembly, testing and trouble-shooting phase. The block diagram for the "main control module" is presented in Figure 1 and Figure 2 presents the board of the control module, mounted on the biodiesel generator chassis.
The control module is based on a PIC Microchip microcontroller. The user interface consists of a LCD output display and a micro-keyboard made with four push-buttons. The oil pumps and the rest of the peripheral devices are controlled with the help of a relay board.
