Project Abstract

The use of chemicals in crop production led to more problems and disadvantages in their use and therefore it is needed to develop ecologically safer botanical insecticides/fungicides. The single extracts or in combination can have an important role in the reduction of chemical application. The scope of the present project is to obtain microemulsions based on extracts of perennial plant (Sophora flavescens, Reynoutria sachalinensis and Rheum rhabarbarum) and their use as for plant diseases and insect control for cucumber, tomatoes and plum crops. The novelty of this project consists of the preparation of the extracts from considered plants with synergistic effects and their introduction in microemulsions with rapeseed oil, to combat harmful organisms in cucumber, tomatoes, and plum crops. Also, the novelty is confirmed by the fact that for the first time in the Republic of Moldova will be implemented production method for the preparation of a biorational product based on Reynoutria sachalinensis extract that meets the requirements of organic farming. The expected results of the project consist of: optimized extraction method for obtaining an optimum composition of polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids and antioxidant activity from selected perennial plants, method for obtaining the microemulsions based on perennial plant extracts with synergistic effect, articles and communications.
