Project leader: CS1 – Cristian Morari (CV)

Dr. Cristian Morari (male, permanent position) received his Bachelor Degree in Physics Faculty from University ”Bases-Bolyai” (1995) and his Ph.D. in Natural Science (Theoretical Chemistry) from University Siegen (Germany) in 2001. He start to work as junior scientist at INCDTIM, Cluj-Napoca in 1997, then followed postdoctoral stays, in Universite Catholique du Louvain, Louvain la Neuve, Belgium (2004-2006) and then at Augsburg University, Germany (2012 and 2014).

Currently he holds a position of Senior scientist at INCDTIM, Cluj-Napoca (Romania). Dr. Morari has broad interests in both fundamental and applied theoretical chemistry, computational physics, materials science and nanotechnology, with a focus on study of molecule-surface interactions in nanostructured materials.

Project member: Adrian Calborean (CV)

Dr. Adrian Calborean (male, permanent position) received his Ph.D at French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) Grenoble and Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble) in Quantum Modeling of Multilevel Molecular Memories (2009). In 2010, he joined Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris, Chimie-ParisTech Laboratoire d’Electrochimie, Chimie des Interfaces et Modélisation pour l’Energie (LECIME), Paris, FRANCE, for a postdoctoral research program under the supervision of Prof. Carlo Adamo (developer of Gaussian software). Currently, he is employed as a scientific researcher at INCDTIM CLUJ-NAPOCA Romania. Research interests lies in the field of molecular electronics, computational chemistry (DFT) techniques and solid-state physics. In the last years, he was in particular focused on the dip pen nanolithography techniques and experimental characterization of new material alloys by cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy with direct applications in battery development.
