GENERAL OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/h4>\n

O1.<\/strong> Increase the research and innovation capacity at INCDTIM level by developing the existing Data Centre and creating a CLOUD platform with a view to its integration into specialised European networks.<\/p>\n

O2.<\/strong> Increase the degree of involvement of Romanian researchers in international research networks by increasing the level of scientific competitiveness at national and international level.<\/p>\n

O3.<\/strong> Training of specialists in Cloud Computing and Massive Data Infrastructures<\/p>\n

Specific project objectives<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Purchase of a high-performance computing system dedicated to the implementation of the CLOUD platform<\/li>\n
  2. Purchase of a fire detection, alarm and extinguishing system to complement the existing one and ensure maximum safety in the operation of the Data Centre<\/li>\n
  3. Design, testing and certification of a CLOUD-type platform incorporating the entire computing system purchased under the project and which will be dedicated exclusively to supporting research and development activities.<\/li>\n
  4. Creation of an application dedicated to the management of large databases developed to meet the specific needs of INCDTIM research groups or other beneficiaries in the research environment<\/li>\n
  5. Creation of a web portal-type access interface to facilitate user access to resources<\/li>\n
  6. Provide consultancy and technical assistance in the exploitation of CLOUD resources for the beneficiaries of the platform, i.e. for an expected number of at least 5 internal and 5 external users during the implementation of the project, with the number of these users increasing according to the availability of resources.<\/li>\n
  7. Creation of a job in the Data Centre by hiring a specialist programmer who will be responsible for the design and implementation of applications specific to Cloud Computing.<\/li>\n
  8. Create the conditions for INCDTIM to join the European initiative on the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) through the CLOUD platform.<\/li>\n
  9. Specialisation of three people from the Data Centre team in CLOUD technology to ensure the functionality and development of the infrastructure in conditions of sustainability and durability<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
