The proposed research project will be coordinated by CALBOREAN ADRIAN in the CETATEA Research Centre of INCDTIM. As novelty and relevance of MG-LAB project, we propose a different way for improving the efficiency of positive grids, by developing novel geometry configurations of lead-acid battery metallic grids. The manufacturing procedure of novel lead-acid positive electrodes pursues to acquire an optimal rigidity of metal beams structure, behaving as support for storing the active mass, to collect and conduct the electric current generated by chemical reactions to the collector terminals with a minimum voltage drop. The data produced within the project will form a pool of knowledge to be translated into technological developments, allowing a fast shift to LAB industrial scale.
