Objectives

Objective 1 To develop the know-how for the fabrication of optimized LAB components by combining numerical analysis with trial-and-error techniques for fabrication and characterization of new lead-acid cells.

Objective 2 To fabricate new model grid cells (2.14 V) for extensive testing and collect a database of experimental data, with parameters of interest (current distribution, capacity dependence on aging condition, State of-Health (SoH) after standard tests, mechanical resistance).

Objective 3 To fabricate a fully redesigned LAB (12 V) by incorporating the know-how and the experimental results on model test produced from O1 and O2.

Objective 4 To propose the novel technological steps for implementation in the industrial environment; an optimized manufacturing cycle of novel prototypes based on the predictive analysis of the deterioration processes of lead-acid accumulators, from their formation to the life expectancy.
