The two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are materials with a strong spin-orbit coupling which favors an out-of-plane orientation of electronic spins. This generates robust superconducting phases to in-plane magnetic fields. Our project aims to theoretically investigate the properties of these materials in the context of possible mesoscopic devices containing superconducting elements.
